Sorteo Rayo

Sorteo Rayo is the web platform for TheGrefg's custom Tesla Model S Plaid giveaway. I designed the interface and user experience in collaboration with the Midudev team, with one clear goal: make entering instant and let the prize be the absolute star.

The challenge

A giveaway with TheGrefg's community means two things: a lot of attention and a huge amount of simultaneous traffic. The platform had to be visually powerful to match the event, but above all it had to make signing up so simple that nobody dropped off along the way.

My role

I focused on the platform's UI/UX design, taking care of four things:

  • Prize presentation: showcasing the custom Tesla prominently and with impact.
  • Frictionless sign-up: reducing the steps to enter to a minimum.
  • Clear feedback: visual confirmations at every step of the process.
  • Responsive design: a solid experience on any device, since most traffic came from mobile.

Key decisions

When you expect huge spikes of users, every extra element in the interface is a point of friction and risk. The design decision was to prioritize clarity and perceived speed over any flourish: a direct flow, obvious hierarchy, and zero unnecessary steps.

Results

  • A platform that held up under a high-visibility event and enabled mass participation.
  • A design–development collaboration that showed how a well-thought-out flow keeps a product steady under pressure.
